Women's Outreach Network (WON)

 

The Women's Outreach Network (WON) is a pro-choice, anti-oppression coalition of women and organizations working together to increase access to HIV/ AIDS services for women. WON recognizes that the social context of women's lives greatly impacts our health and our access to health services.

We are committed to:
1 - advocating for increased access to care, treatment and support for women living with HIV/AIDS
2 - working to eliminate systemic barriers women experience in their lives including sexism, racism, poverty, violence and homophobia.
3 - providing training,skills building and resource development regarding HIV and women's health issues to the community at large
4 - advocating for women specific HIV/AIDS research and female controlled prevention methods.

 

2-Spirited People of the First Nations

This a non-profit social service organization that serves Aboriginal lesbians, bisexuals, transsexuals, transgender people, and gays in Toronto. Program and services include HIV/AIDS education and prevention, support and counselling for two-spirited people and Aboriginal persons living with HIV/AIDS.
